Studio Sonder’s The Year of the Novel

is the answer to your writing dreams.

YOU WILL create

THE NOVEL YOU’VE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT.

👋 Goodbye, writer’s block, procrastination, and feeling like you’re not good enough.

🫰 Hello, peer support, accountability, and rediscovering the joy of writing.

Whether you're starting your writing journey from scratch, reigniting it after many false starts or even if you’ve never finished a single chapter before, we’ll get you to a full 50,000+ word manuscript.

LIMITED TO AN EXCLUSIVE COHORT OF ONLY 50 WRITERS.

BE HONEST,

HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN SAYING,

“THIS IS THE YEAR I WRITE MY BOOK.”

But then life and a severe lack of discipline and accountability get in the way.

every. damn. year.

Sounding familiar? Feeling attacked?

You’re already someone’s

favourite writer.

Your words already mean something to someone.

Your name? It's already on someone’s tongue when their friend asks for a book recommendation.

The only problem? You haven’t written it yet.

You’ve probably started and stopped.

You’ve gotten stuck.

You’re second-guessing everything.

Do you know if the structure is correct? Do you know if the characters are working?

Does the story even make sense?

12 MONTHS, 3 TERMS, 1 COMPLETED NOVEL: LET’S BREAK IT DOWN

SHOW ME THE MOOLAH

OPTION 1: 12 Instalments OF £99 [£1,188]

Commit to the full 12 months but pay monthly to spread the cost over time. Cheaper than the cost of Demi’s monthly student loan interest for her Creative Writing PhD!

OPTION 2: £993 [one time payment]

Save £195 by purchasing the full 12 months upfront - less than £4 a day, which is less than a matcha latte. And let’s face it, you can barely leave the house without spending £100 these days.

IS THIS FOR

YOU?

LET’S CHECK.

MAYBE YOU’VE CONSIDERED DROPPING

TENS OF THOUSANDS ON A

WRITING DEGREE, COURSES,

OR A WRITING COACH.

But maybe you don’t care about pricey degrees, completing £10k courses from some author you’ve never heard of or getting a coach to critique the pages you’re yet to write. You want to DO THE WRITING and find a group of writers that builds your confidence up, not intimidates you.

✅ You want to write a fiction novel. Don’t worry about the genre - you’ll connect with people writing a similar genre when we open the doors.

✅ You’re serious about making this dream a reality.

✅ You’re willing to put in the work.

✅ You’re open to feedback and willing to help others, too. If you’re finally ready to say YES to your best year yet and a life of creativity, start taking messy action now.

MEET YOUR FEARLESS (KINDA) LEADERS

THE ONLY THINg

MISSING? YOU.

Fight Your Fears

  • You can pay for the whole year in monthly instalments of £99.

The annual package is where you get an absolute steal of a deal: £993 for the whole shebang.

You can choose whichever suits your situation best.

You can pay with any major debit or credit card. Payments made outside the UK may be subject to credit card fees and currency conversion fees. These are not set by Studio Sonder, but rather by our payment platform, Stripe.

If you would like to join but need financial assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Demi at demi@studiosondercreative.com.

  • We NEED you to know that our application form isn’t about talent, experience, or having the perfect idea.

📌 We’re not looking for the “best” writers. We’re looking for the ones who care.

❤️‍🔥 The Year of the Novel is a space for people who are serious about showing up for their creative dreams... whatever that looks like for them.

Whether you’ve never written a chapter or you’ve been writing for years, if you’re passionate about finishing a novel and being part of a thoughtful, supportive, creative community, we’d love to hear from you.

🫰 There are 50 places available, and we want to make sure they go to people who genuinely want to make the most of this experience. This short application just helps us get to know you, your idea (even if it’s vague or messy), and your intentions for the year ahead.

No pressure. No judgement. Just a chance to share what this means to you.

*Filling out this form doesn't mean that you're guaranteed a place, and it doesn't mean that if you're selected that you're required to go ahead with the purchase.

We will be selecting writers each week from our latest application submissions. If successful, we will reach out to you directly via the email address you provide us with a link to pay for your membership. You will have a week to sign up and pay. If not completed, your spot maybe given to another writer on our list.

If you don’t get accepted right away, never fear - we will add you to our waitlist if any spots become available.

  • Each sprint phase (term) is designed to keep you moving, hold you accountable, and get you to a final, polished novel.

    But the full 12 months?

    That’s where the magic happens.

More time. More growth. More breakthroughs (including the ones you didn’t know you needed).

Your novel, your call. But if you’re in, go all in and use the 12 months to get your novel in the best shape possible (and have a bloody good time along the way).

You can pay for the full 12 months in one payment (£993) or pay monthly (£99 × 12).

Can I pick and choose the terms I need?

All writers must participate in all three terms.

We umm-ed and err-ed about this one and after much deliberation, we believe that there will be too much disruption to our writer community if we allow people to hop in at different stages.

However, The Year of the Novel is flexible in terms of your time commitment. There will be daily co-writing sessions you can attend and monthly masterclasses for each term (all will be recorded for you to watch later if you can’t attend live), but the beauty of the community is that it is open 24/7, 365. No need to worry if you have other commitments like holidays or work, try to join as much as you can, but by all means, manage your writing process your way!

I’ve already started my novel; can I still join?

Absolutely. No matter where you’re at (just getting started, halfway through, or sitting on a messy first draft), you’ll benefit from 12 months of structure, accountability, and support from fellow writers and experienced pros.

  • How the 12-month Year of The Novel writing program works:

It’s split into three structured terms:

Term 1: Planning & story development (so you don’t get 20k words in and realise you hate your plot).

Term 1 kicks off on 9th September 2025

Term 2: The first draft (aka, writing at full speed without your inner critic breathing down your neck).

Term 2 kicks off on 6th January 2026

Term 3: Peer reviews & editing (because you will miss a plot hole the size of a crater).

Term 3 kicks off on April 7th 2026

You will receive a detailed schedule via email and within the community before the sprint commences.

  • Oh, just:

    • A solid plan, a finished novel, and an actual chance of making this dream real.

    • Masterclasses with published authors, agents, and industry pros.

    • PhD-level creative writing guidance (without selling a kidney for a degree).

    • Daily co-writing sessions to keep you accountable.

    • A community of 50 writers so you’re not yelling into the void alone.

    • Unlimited peer & expert feedback because “it’s good!” isn’t helpful.

    • Accountability partners & structured feedback loops to keep you moving.

    • Access to the full Studio Sonder creative community for a year (when you purchase the whole sprint upfront).

And best of all? A completed novel.

  • Think of them as virtual writing cafés. Jump in, get words down, feel productive, repeat. And for feedback?

You’ll have unlimited access to peer and expert reviews and structured feedback loops to improve your work (not just second-guess yourself to oblivion). The dedicated Year of the Novel writing sprint, classes, resources, and community space will be privately hosted within our Mighty Networks platform, which you can access via your web browser or Mighty’s dedicated mobile app.

We will be hosting three dedicated co-writing sessions throughout the day, allowing you to hop in and out as needed. These are camera on/off and mic off sessions to get words written!

Whatever suits your schedule or your location. And don’t worry, you’re not expected to attend every session - they’re there to help you stick to your writing goals when you need them.

  • Yes, if your goal is to actually write a novel (and not just talk about one for three years).

This isn’t a hand-holding, teacher-led course. It’s a practical, year-long sprint where you learn the art of being a working writer by doing the work—consistently, with structure, accountability, and support.

You’ll be joined by our sprint leaders: Dr. Demi (PhD in Creative Writing) and Anna (copywriter, marketer and professional ghostwriter), who aren’t just guiding the process but also writing their novels alongside you.

You’ll also be surrounded by 50+ writers from all backgrounds and genres, there to offer support, motivation, and honest feedback as you go.

Throughout the year, you’ll get access to exclusive live masterclasses led by everyone from university lecturers to editors, agents, publishers, and published authors—real people working in the industry who know exactly what it takes to finish (and sell) a book.

No grades. No fluff. Just your novel, written with the kind of support you wish you'd had years ago.

  • Nope. Whether this is your first attempt or your tenth, we’ve got you. And don’t stress about genre; when we open the doors, you’ll naturally connect with other writers in similar spaces who can help, inspire, and guide you.

  • You will—and that’s why we exist. You won't be left floundering between structured phases, accountability partners, and the community.

Additionally, these built-in breaks are designed to prevent burnout before it occurs.

  • It’s better to be a creator something than a hater of something.

And if you hate something, create something.

    Give yourself permission to create.

    Accept yourself.

    Accept where you’re at.

Accept creating something from nothing is not easy. But it’s worth it.

We’re not here to judge; we’re here to support you through every step of your creative journey.

  • Easy. You’ve got options:

Email your questions/thoughts/ideas/worries to anna@studiosondercreative.com or demi@studiosondercreative.com (give us a few days to reply. We’re probably mid-coffee and typing furiously).

Book a casual chit chat (as in Oodie and a cup of tea casual) via email if you’re still a little unsure.
